Our school celebrated the European Day of Languages on 25 September 2025  in a very special way. The first-ever Language Evening in the school’s history was organized by subject teachers Anita Čule (Croatian), Bojana Palijan (English), and Danijela Tatalović (Italian), bringing students together for a fun and engaging evening.

The Language Evening was organized for students from 5th to 8th grade. It was officially opened by the principal, Kristina Lalić, with a warm-up activity in Slovenian. After the warm-up, students collaborated and competed in groups in English, Italian, and Croatian. Through fun workshops, they explored different themed worlds: the World of Riddles, the World of Numbers, the Digital World, the Memory World, and the Matching World. A total of 23 students from 5th to 8th grade attended the Language Evening.

At the very end, the winning group, called “Memoratori” (Rita Grofelnik, 5.a; Vida Radović, 6.a; Leona Perković, 6.a; Ana Dobrota, 8.b; and Lucas Con, 8.b), was announced and awarded a prize! We should also mention that students enjoyed the Digital World the most. While recording a short video in English, Croatian, and Italian, they had a lot of fun and were able to approach the task in a very imaginative and creative way.
