Two-sentence stories that will give you goosebumps

The world's shortest horror story was originally written by Frederic Brown and published in 1948. It consists of the two following sentences:

"The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door..."

With Halloween being next week, 8th grade students have been challenged to come up with their own two-sentence horror stories. They have also been given a task to use a digital tool for creating the best background to accompany their spooky short stories.
